Frequently asked questions

About Aivance as an engineering partner: audits, build work, automation, security and Presence.

Aivance

  • What exactly does Aivance do?

Aivance investigates business and technical problems, designs solutions and builds software, automation and AI systems. We can then implement, improve and turn reusable parts into modules. Presence is one live module — not the whole definition of Aivance.

  • Can Aivance only advise, or also build?

Both. The goal is a working solution. An audit or discovery can lead to implementation by Aivance.

  • Can I start small?

Yes. Start with QuickScan, a focused audit, or a small automation. That can later grow into a larger system.

  • Can a small job be expanded later?

Yes. That is the model: small paid step → proven value → expand or reuse as a module.

  • What does a project cost?

It depends on scope, complexity and impact. After intake or audit you get a concrete proposal. Presence and the digital employee have fixed monthly rates; custom work does not.

  • Why are there no fixed prices for custom work?

Because every problem is different. Fixed catalogue prices would be too high or too low. We price from the real brief.

  • Can you work remotely?

Yes. Intake, build and delivery can be remote. Security tests always require an explicitly agreed, authorised scope.

AI & automation

  • What is AI automation for SMBs?

AI automation for SMBs means recurring work — email, invoices, documents and follow-up — is partly handled by AI and workflows, with human control where needed. See aivapresence.nl/mkb-automatisering.

  • What is an AI back office?

AI back office automates admin work: email, invoices, documents and data entry. People keep control of key decisions. See /en/oplossingen/ai-backoffice.

  • What is image recognition?

Image recognition (computer vision) detects objects and anomalies in images. Aivance has a Lab demo at /image-recognition.

QuickScan & audits

  • What is the difference between a QuickScan and an audit?

QuickScan is a fast, free/low-friction analysis based on publicly visible information. An audit is a deeper, focused engagement (AI, automation, technical, digital or security) with a concrete deliverable and next steps.

  • What happens after a QuickScan?

You see findings and opportunities. Then you can request a focused audit or discovery, or discuss a project. No mandatory next step.

  • What is the difference between AI Readiness and an Automation Audit?

AI Readiness looks strategically at where AI can add value in the organisation. Automation Audit focuses on repetitive manual processes that can be automated. The Business Opportunity Assessment (AI Business Scan) is broader and helps choose which route first.

  • Can you perform security research?

Yes, within a pre-agreed authorised scope. Active tests only with explicit permission. QuickScan security is passive and not a penetration test.

  • What is the difference between a security scan and a security audit?

A (Quick)Scan is passive/limited to public signals. A Security Audit is an authorised deeper analysis with findings, priorities and a remediation path.

  • Can you also fix the issues found?

Yes. Via Security Remediation: priority → plan → implementation → retest. Optionally Security Monitoring afterwards.

Build & systems

  • Can you improve an existing system?

Yes. Technical Audit or Custom Discovery, then improvement, modernisation or integration.

  • Can you automate AI inside existing software?

Often yes, via APIs, workflows or agents around existing systems. First we check whether integration makes sense.

  • Can you build AI agents?

Yes — around a concrete business process, with boundaries and human approval where needed. Not a standalone chatbot gimmick.

  • Can you build websites and web applications?

Yes. Presence for ongoing website/content, plus custom web apps, portals and software.

  • Do you work with existing software and APIs?

Yes. We connect where we can and build custom where needed.

  • What is the difference between Presence, digital employee and AI Agents?

Presence = website/content platform. Digital employee = task-oriented AI worker for recurring work. AI Agents = custom agents designed around a specific workflow.

Privacy

  • Is my data safe?

We work privacy-conscious and EU-oriented. Lab healthcare demos stay experimental until compliance is in place.

  • Is data shared?

Not without permission. Client and project data stay under agreement.
